Things change, as did today’s ride.

Prior to DirtyBird in Sycamore, Rips Tavern was rated the best fried chicken in Illinois. Serving Ladd and surrounding communities since 1936, it is still considered a “must visit”.  As you can see by following the link below, they do have other items, however the chicken is what they are known for.

Ride is approximately 75 miles, about 2.5 hours with about a ½ hour stop about halfway down.

The ride back will be similar, with maybe a few more miles of mostly back country roads.

We will be heading out from Fox River Harley. NOTE: THE GAS STATION NEXT TO THE DEALER NO LONGER HAS PREMIUM FUEL. That said, plan on showing up with stomachs empty and tanks full. (Well, maybe a coffee to help wake up.)
